Youth And Kids
Youth Work Secondary school age, 11-18yrs
Meet with others; ask the big questions. Laugh: A LOT, make friends, do some exciting stuff in our city, talk about God, explore your faith.
Ignite is our programme for 14-18 year olds and is a great place for making friends, thinking about faith, having fun and discovering God. Most Sunday nights we meet at a leader’s house or the Castlegate to hang out, mess about, talk, learn and pray and worship. We do beach trips, BBQs, weekends away and a summer trip down south to join with youth groups from around the country for NewDay, our summer youth conference.
Our team members are all DBS checked, trained, accountable and are prone to laughing and making a difference! To find out more, chat to Ruth Fleck or contact the church office.
Rooted is the wonderful 11-14 year old’s group (school years 7-9) which meets on most Sunday mornings during the main church meeting, after the worship. We play games, have fun, look at the Bible (using the Youth for Christ METTLE material), discuss what God is saying and pray together. We also aim to meet up for social stuff once or twice a term on a Friday night or Saturday – playing games, ice cream parties, make your own pizza night, mucking about, and much, much more! The Rooted team are all DBS checked, trained, accountable and are prone to laughing and making a difference!
To find out more chat to Tom or Abi Bryant, contact the church office, or turn up on a Sunday.

Climbers is for school nursery and reception aged children, meeting on the 1st floor. Using Scripture Union’s Bubbles material, the children play, craft, dance, sing, learn about Jesus, listen to stories and do activities.

All Stars is for 5-11 year olds (primary school age) with a lively programme mixing fun and games, crafts, worship, prayer and Bible teaching. Generally starting with some chill time, the children form strong friendships with one another and encourage one another to follow Jesus. Family Fun Days
These usually run once a term and provide a brilliant opportunity for families from the church and the wider community to come together to play, eat and make friends. An easy introduction to City Church, over the years many families have come along to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with their friends and relatives. With a mixture of art, craft, games, dressing up, face painting, bouncy castle, sport and a very popular café with plenty of space to sit and watch while the children have fun together. These are well attended, well-loved events for the whole family.
